Relax – put your feet up

Resting your legs is very good for you if you need to wear compression stockings or socks.

Putting your feet up as often as possible encourages blood to move away from your legs, back to your heart. Your ankles must be raised to the level of your heart to help drain the blood effectively.

  • Lie comfortably on your bed or settee.
  • Stretch out your legs.
  • Raise your legs on cushions, pillows or on the arm of the settee, making sure your ankles are at least as high as your heart.

Relax and enjoy!
